Description: 

Brain Games Club is a fun and engaging club for students who enjoy puzzles, strategy, and problem-solving challenges. Students will play games such as Set, Rush Hour, and Sudoku while exploring logic problems and visual puzzles with their peers. Through teamwork and friendly challenges, students strengthen their critical thinking, reasoning, and problem-solving skills. The club also provides a supportive, low-risk environment where students can build confidence, practice perseverance, and become comfortable with productive struggle while having fun learning together.

Description: 

The purpose of this club is to foster a love of reading, creativity, and storytelling through comics, manga and graphic novels. Members will read and discuss selected titles, explore the techniques of visual storytelling, watch school-approved comic and anime adaptions when available, and possibly create an original comic or manga.

This is open to all students. The membership is limited to twenty students to encourage meaningful discussion and participation. There are no membership dues. Students are expected to participate respectfully, contribute to discussions and activities, and follow all school rules and expectations.

Description:

Crews Singers is a select auditioned group of 7th and 8th grade students from various fine arts classes who sing and dance for special school/community events. Students do not have to be members of chorus to audition, but must exhibit strong leadership and singing skills. Rehearsals are Mondays at 8:00.  See Mrs. Hernandez for audition information.

Description:

The Crews Middle School Jr. Beta Club is affiliated with the National Beta Club and membership is by invitation only.  The National Beta Club allows individual clubs to determine their criteria for club membership. Therefore, to be invited, 7th and 8th grade students must meet Crews’ criteria by earning and maintaining a 94.000% average or higher for their middle school career. A report detailing student rank is run at the beginning of the current school year to determine which students meet this criterion. Identified students will receive their invitations in mid-August via hard copy and student email. Once invitations are sent out, we will no longer be accepting new members for the 2026-2027 school year.  

Members of Jr. Beta Club perform service activities for our school and community striving to promote excellence in the four Beta Pillars of: Academic Achievement, Leadership, Character and Service.  A minimum of 10 service hours per school year are required to remain in good standing. While some service opportunities are club sponsored, members are responsible for ensuring they seek out their own opportunities as well. All service hours must be submitted by the deadline, without exception.

Description:

Do you have an idea for an invention that could solve a common problem? Are you dreaming about the scientific method in your sleep and can't wait to test your hypothesis? If you are driven by curiosity, this is the club for you. Students will be working independently or with a partner using the scientific method to create a culminating Science Fair project.  Science Fair projects can also be engineering based and students will be guided in the process.

• Come work in a club setting where we will have snacks and work together
• T-shirts are included (Once committed to the project)
• Projects will be featured at our Crews Middle School Science Fair
• for all students and staff to see. Local judges will be used for students to gain experience with the interviewing process.
• Top projects will move on to the Gwinnett County Science and Engineering Fair.

Description:

Team-based competitive event. Science Olympiad students work in teams of 15 to compete in 23 different science-based competitions. Events range from inquiry events like astronomy or road scholar to engineering-based build events like air trajectory and scrambler.

Students will learn how to break down film, analyze plays, and study strategies from real games. They will spend time reviewing statistics, player tendencies, and decision-making within sports. Students will learn that you do not have to play in the NFL to build a successful career in the NFL or sports industry. This club will introduce different career avenues and mindsets students can explore. Students will be exposed  to the salaries, roles, and responsibilities of various jobs and departments within professional sports organizations.

Description:

A fundraising group that raises money and awareness for the Amanda Riley Foundation. Activities throughout the year will support the ARF, which supports families in our area and across Georgia dealing with childhood cancer. The foundation is named after former Crews and Brookwood Bronco Amanda Riley, who lost her battle with brain cancer. We are proud to support the Foundation in Amanda’s memory.

**Team Riley will be a part of SGA this year! Team Riley meetings will be on the same days as SGA meetings! You don't have to be a member of SGA to be a member of Team Riley! Come join us!
