Meet Coach Nicely

Coach Nicely has always had a passion for volleyball as an athlete and a coach. During her playing years, she played for her school and USA Michigan volleyball.  She began coaching in Georgia for the Brookwood Middle School recreational league and is excited to return to coaching this group. In addition, she coached for the Atlanta Heat Volleyball Club for two years before becoming the club's co-Director.  Her coaching strategy focuses on developing strong foundational physical and mental skills and helping young players learn that games are won or lost during preparation and practice.

Coach Nicely grew up in Michigan and lived in the Northeast for several years before relocating to Georgia in 2017. She is faculty at Emory University, serving as the Director of the Nurse Anesthesia DNP Program and a tenure-track researcher.

When not coaching, she and her husband can be found cheering on their three children on the volleyball court, at the baseball fields, or at the pool.

Meet Coach Bridges

Coach Bridges was born in New Jersey but moved to Georgia when she was in elementary school. She grew up attending Gwinnett County Schools where she played volleyball in high school where she was an outside hitter. After high school, she continued to play volleyball recreationally purely for the love of the sport.

She attended and graduated from Kennesaw State University with a B.S. in Psychology in 2019. She returned and completed her M.A.T in Teaching Special Education in 2023. At the end of the 24-25 school year, Coach Bridges will have completed her sixth year of teaching. She has taught all three middle school grade levels and all four core subjects. She is currently an 8th grade IRR teacher for Social Studies at Crews Middle School. Prior to coaching volleyball at Crews Middle School, she coached girls' soccer at Lilburn Middle School.

When she's not in the classroom or on the court, Coach Bridges loves traveling with her friends and significant other, shopping, and watching international movies (mainly Bollywood).

She is super excited to continue to serve as the assistant coach this upcoming volleyball season. GO BRONCOS!
