Meet Coach Pruitt

Coach Pruitt

Jamie Pruitt was born and raised in Indiana and has always had a passion for teaching and sports.  She played Division 1 volleyball at Miami University and majored in elementary education.  Although she plays and loves every position in volleyball, at Miami she specialized in defense.
She moved to Atlanta in 2000 and began her teaching career with Marietta City Schools.  While there, she was the JV/Assistant Varsity volleyball coach for two years for Marietta High School and ran the intramurals program at Park Street Elementary.
After marrying her husband, Phillip, in 2008, she moved to Gwinnett County where she has been teaching ever since.  Her son, Marlon, will be a sophomore at Brookwood High School and loves basketball and her daughter, Alara, will be in 8th grade here at Crews and loves volleyball.  Prior to Crews, Coach Pruitt has coached volleyball leagues and club at Suwanee Sports Academy and A5 Gwinnett.
She is about to complete her 25th year in elementary education where she has been a homeroom teacher and most recently Health.  She still plays in adult volleyball leagues and tournaments and is super excited to return to Crews Middle School to coach their second official volleyball season.
GO BRONCOS!

Meet Coach Bridges

Coach Bridges was born in New Jersey but moved to Georgia when she was in elementary school. She grew up attending Gwinnett County Schools where she played volleyball in high school where she was an outside hitter. After high school, she continued to play volleyball recreationally purely for the love of the sport.

She attended and graduated from Kennesaw State University with a B.S. in Psychology in 2019. She returned and completed her M.A.T in Teaching Special Education in 2023. At the end of the 24-25 school year, Coach Bridges will have completed her sixth year of teaching. She has taught all three middle school grade levels and all four core subjects. She is currently an 8th grade IRR teacher for Social Studies at Crews Middle School. Prior to coaching volleyball at Crews Middle School, she coached girls' soccer at Lilburn Middle School.

When she's not in the classroom or on the court, Coach Bridges loves traveling with her friends and significant other, shopping, and watching international movies (mainly Bollywood).

She is super excited to continue to serve as the assistant coach this upcoming volleyball season. GO BRONCOS!
